Founder - Josie Tomic

As a Mum, Olympian, and teacher, I understand the power of dreams and hard work. As a qualified K-6 teacher, I have honed my skills in both classroom settings and one-on-one tutoring environments. My focus lies in cultivating strong foundational skills in literacy and mathematics, recognising these as the building blocks for academic success across all subjects.

At the heart of my teaching philosophy is a commitment to best practices that foster a love of learning. I believe in creating engaging, play-based activities that capture students' imaginations and make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. By tailoring lessons to individual interests and learning styles, I strive to ignite curiosity and cultivate a lifelong passion for learning in every child I teach.

I have experience teaching children with Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs), such as, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I also have vast experience teaching children with ADHD and poor working memory. In 2020, I was asked to present at a professional development training course at ADHD WA to teachers from all over Perth about strategies I have implemented to assist children with ADHD in the classroom. I have training in Diana Rigg PLD synthetic phonics program, Sounds Write, Talk 4 Writing and Back 2 Front Maths. All these programs are evidenced based.

With my experience as a teacher and an Olympian I have the tools to empower your child and help them achieve their goals. Let's start this incredible journey together!
